Cheney Had Mild Heart Attack

Former Vice President Dick Cheney suffered a mild heart attack Monday when he complained of chest pains and was hospitalized, his office said Tuesday.

“Lab testing revealed evidence of a mild heart attack,” the statement said. “He underwent a stress test and a heart catheterization. He is feeling good and is expected to be discharged in the next day or two.”

He was described as being in good spirits.

Cheney made and received calls much of the afternoon, a source said. Among those who called to wish him well were former President George W. Bush, Vice President Joe Biden, former top aides and friends, the source said.

Monday’s heart attack was Cheney’s fifth. The first occurred in 1978, when he was 37. He suffered his second in 1984 and his third in 1988 before undergoing quadruple bypass surgery to unblock his arteries. His fourth heart attack occurred in November 2000, after he became vice president. At that time, doctors inserted a stent to open an artery.

  1. This, from you? Are you kidding? You, who just goes around insulting people, calling them names, finding every possible nasty word to use for the president?

But I don’t want to upset you. Heaven knows, I wouldn’t want you to dramatically announce that you aren’t going to post anymore. That would be so…tiresome.

  2. Amazing how those who support the terrorists can call those like Cheney who helped lead the country defend against them can call him ‘heartless’.

  3. A GR8 American and a friend. Ignore the riff and the raff.
Flatbush Bubby: for months I have admired your posts. Now that I am returning from E”Y, I need to find a bubby, unmarried, who thinks like you. There seem to be too few intelligent, informed, conservative mature women

  4. I have a daughter. Maybe we should contact each other through the YW Moderator.

The Town Crier, you are heartless yourself along with a crude sense of humor.

No Come on, I don’t just attack for the sake of being insulting. I reveal how corrupt and empty the liberal political idealogy is.

  5. Ooh, I stand corrected. You’re not insulting people, just saying that the Liberal political ideology is CORRUPT and empty.

And I’m not insulting anyone, I’m just pointing out that Dick Cheney is a dishonest, destructive, Rasputin-like, unethical sociopath who should be scraped off the bottom of the national shoe.

See? We both speak our own truth.

  6. #11 Bubby

Most of your points are misinformed, cherry-picked, or just nonsensical.

Global Warming is still very much under study. We know that it’s happening, we don’t know completely why it’s accelerating, why it stops, and what the real impact will be. It’s not a liberal agenda any more than evolution or (the theory of) gravity.

There is no constitutional right for a woman to own property. So?

“All of the enviromentalist groups from the are Club to the Center for Science in the Public Interest are funded by the very same despots in the Arabian Peninsula who fund jihadist groups.”

    This is just paranoid nonsense.

  7. #12 Everything Flatbush Bubby in comment #11 is true and you in comment #12 are wrong.

Who is “Global Warming” being “studied” by?
The same America hating liberals who support everything that goes against America and against everything that is good and decent.

There are legally adopted Ammendments that give women the same rights as men (but now the feminazis are ruining mens and boys lives in order to promote not equality but “female superiority”, just look at all the TV shows aned commercials where men are constantly put down and womena dn girls are always made to look better somehow then men (smarter or stronger or more kind
    etc…).

And your last line saying that the all the liberals are together on all the evil and backed by the jihadists is far from “paranoid nonsense” as you called it.

Why do you think the leftists opposed the war and hated Bush, because he was fighting against the terrorists who wanted to murder Jews and they could not stand to see their antisemitic allies being killed.

  8. justajew,

Don’t bother arguing with Flatbush Bubby. Unless you have absolutely nothing better to do. I, for example, have decided to spend my time washing all of the yucky fruit stuff off the bottom of my fruit drawer. Why don’t I clean it more often?

Anyway, don’t dissuade her from posting her material. It’s a blast. It’s what first brought me to this site — people telling me to check out her comments. If you berate her for her weird ideas, she might threaten to leave. Sure, she’ll still check in, but she’ll take a break from posting.

    We can’t have that!

Never leave, Bubby from Flatbush! Stay strong and keep posting!

  9. Exactly which amendment gives women the right to own land? Or gives women “the same rights as men?”

A few organizations studying climate change:

    NASA (GISS)
Canadian Foundation for Climate and Atmospheric Sciences
    Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society
    European Geosciences Union
    National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
    National Research Council
    Royal Meteorological Society

I’m not going to respond to the rest of the craziness.

  10. justajew, can’t you respond to the Barney Frank comment? Because after he ran off to be with his girlfriend in Argentina and nobody could find him for days and it turned out…No wait, that’s not him. Oh, isn’t he the one who was tap tap tapping in the airport men’s room…No, not him. I get these guys so confused.

Even more confusing, I’ve forgotten what they have to do with Dick Cheney. Then again, I don’t think Cheney has much to do with climate change, either. Or abortion.

Or maybe I’m just frightened that one woman hunched over her computer in Brooklyn will single-handedly destroy the Jewish electoral base of the Democratic Party.

  11. How about the ERA and the ammendment that gave women the right to vote?

So you posted a few liberal organizations, so what?

And why would you think you need to ‘respond’ to the rest of what you posted?

  12. #17 hereorthere

“How about the ERA and the ammendment that gave women the right to vote?”
    How about it?
I think you’re missing my point. Bubby claimed that there’s no constitutional right for women to have an abortion. And I’m showing the absurdity of that comment, as the constitution does not list every right a person has. As an example, I mentioned how the constitution does not give the right for women to own property. In fact, for a long time, women COULD NOT own property in the US.

Ergo, whether or not a right is explicitly listed in the Constitution or amendments should not be a limitation of the expansion of rights for all in the country.

“So you posted a few liberal organizations, so what?”
NASA is a liberal organization? I was answering the question as to “who is studying climate change.” If you’re not going to follow the discussion, then you’re obviously not going to understand the answers.

“And why would you think you need to ‘respond’ to the rest of what you posted?”
    You’ve officially lost me.

  13. #18 Justajew, the Constitution does explicitly grant the right to freedom of religious expression and those who support abortions (which are unconstitutional as I will, show in a moment)
are passing all kinds of unconstitutional laws against peoples freedom of religious expression).

Now back to abortions, the Constutition guarantees the right to life liberty and persuit of happiness, therefore abortions which are anti life are unconstitutional.

Yes NASA is extremly liberal and I am following the discussion as well as the issues which I could honestly say I probably am following them more closely then you are.

And where I ‘lost you’ look at your statement your last line in comment #15, then review my answer to it.

Lets see if you can understand.

  14. “Now back to abortions, the Constutition guarantees the right to life liberty and persuit of happiness, therefore abortions which are anti life are unconstitutional.”

By this argument, all birth control should be illegal, as they are “anti-life.”

  15. “those who support abortions…are passing all kinds of unconstitutional laws against peoples freedom of religious expression.”

Does this make any sense to you? That’s like saying by allowing everyone to use electricity, I’m passing a law against the Amish. If you don’t want to exercise a particular freedom, why is it unconstitutional for others to have the option?
